Most of us have tasted Chinese food at least once where as some of us are Chinese food enthusiasts and enjoy a take out every second day. Chinese food is very popular around the world because of the large variety of dishes it provides all tasting vastly different but nonetheless tasty. Chinese cooking differs vastly in China depending on the region for examples in the south due to the warmer climate, dishes are made mostly through stir fry using fruits, fish and different other types of seafood. Meat is not as widely used in the south of China, however soy sauce and rice accompanies every single meal. Chinese cooking in the north is a lot richer due to the cooler climate, all types of meats are eaten but the most popular is lamb; rice and noodles take a back seat here as wheat replaces it to accompany most dishes. The north is also known for barbequing and roasting of meats with different types of spices and sauces such as garlic, sweet and sour and spicy.
Chinese cooking in the west has a total different flavor, look and taste as they use more spices to create hearty piquant flavors. Food here is drier even in stir-fried dishes. The cooking in the east is signified by the usage of more starchy foods and here rice is part of every meal as it is grown in these regions; the east is where most of the sweet dishes also derive from the Chinese cuisine.
